TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR RACES ORGANISED BY MARATHONGRUPPEN

1. GENERAL

These terms and conditions (”Terms and Conditions”) are valid for races organised by Marathongruppen. The terms ”Marathongruppen”, ”we”, ”our”, and ”us” refers to Marathongruppen i Stockholm AB, organisation no. 556265-9549, Box 15124, 16715 Bromma.

By purchasing a start place in any of our races means that you accept the Terms and Conditions valid at that time.

Participation in certain races includes an age limit, in which case the age limit is specified in the registration information. If you are younger than 18, a parent or guardian must approve the registration. If you register another person, you are responsible for ensuring that they have read and follow our conditions.

Please note that certain races require a maximum time to finish the race. You must be aware of this and accept that we can close the race before you have reached the finish line.

We do all we can to provide as accurate information as possible. However, we reserve the right that mistakes may arise in the information flow around the race you have entered.

2. REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

A purchase of a start place can be cancelled up to 24 hours after the purchase. After that the registration is considered final and you are not entitled to a refund of the registration fee. If you have chosen to pay by invoice, it must be paid (whether or not you choose to participate in the race). The purchase of a start place in a sports event on a specific day or during a specific period of time is exempted from the right of withdrawal Act (2005-59) concerning distance contracts and contracts outside business premises.

Your registration fee may be refunded by your insurance company if you have insurance with Folksam’s "Motionsloppsförsäkring" or an equivalent policy with another insurance company. This is only valid if you are forced to withdraw from the race because of illness, injury or accident and the application must be endorsed by a medical certificate. Folksam’s Motionsloppsförsäkring policy is valid for all Swedish fun runs and competition class races.

Motionsloppsförsäkringen also includes insurance against accident. Motionsloppsförsäkringen is valid for one year from the date the premium is paid. Further information about the insurance is available here Motionsloppsförsäkring. Motionsloppsförsäkringen is only available for Swedish residents.

3. CHANGE OF PARTICIPANT’S NAME

Registration to our races is personal and some one else cannot run under your name. In certain races, we offer the possibility to change the participants name on a start place. For ASICS Stockholm Marathon a name change can be made for an administration fee of SEK 300 and for Stockholm Half Marathon, Tjejmilen and Tjurruset/Nattruset for an administration fee of SEK 200. If you wish to change the name on a start place, you must find the substitute yourself. The substitute is not automatically guaranteed a start place in the same start group as the original participant, they will be placed in a start group according to our seeding rules.
